Guitar — Bartók's Allegro barbaro is a favorite of keyboard-mashing pianists, with its driving rhythms and sudden forceful outbursts. Arranging a piece like this for solo guitar is no small feat, yet Steinkogler has artfully accomplished just that, overcoming many technical challenges to bring the Bartók to six strings. For the accomplished guitarist, this would be a fantastic concert closer or encore piece.
