Description

Piano — KEYBOARD TOWN is a great method for beginners, using fun and familiar visual cues to introduce the elements of reading music. This was Glenn Gould's first piano method as a child! KEYBOARD TOWN helps students develop strong sight reading skills after the second lesson by the use of traffic signals in the music. That is, a red light in the music tells students to look down at their fingers to find their notes, and a green light tells them to keep their eyes on the music. The student is prompted to sing or say the names of the notes aloud when playing the songs or exercises, which helps build natural learning and phrasing.
