Waipoua (1994), arranged for clarinet and string orchestra, showcases Farr's style of lyrical writing. Arranged here from the original work for clarinet and piano, the clarinet sits atop rich layers of divisi strings that evokes imagery of the Waipoua State Forest park in New Zealand's far north, which inspired the writing of this work.
