Rapit Transit

Description

Rapid Transit is a different take on the classic I’ve Got Rhythm. The piece will work at a variety of tempos from medium up shuffle to fast swing.. Originally Jim McFalls wrote and played the melody for trombone! I choose to give it to the saxes in order to maintain certain friendships. The pedal during the solo section allows harmonic freedom for the soloist. Sections trade crisp 4’s after the solo section. At an up-tempo Rapid Transit can work as a ‘Quick Ending Closer’.
