Description
Piano — In 1908 Sergei Liapounow dedicated his Valse Impromptu to the daughter of his publisher, Sophie Zimmermann. She was a gifted pianist and was taught by Carl Reinecke. She inspired him to this improvised piano piece. This little work reflects the sentiments in the encounter between the composer and the young woman.
