Two Suites Op. 168 + Op. 154

Description

The suites op. 154 (composed 1972) and op. 168 (composed 1974) presented here can be performed either by three guitars or by a guitar choir. For this purpose, separate copies are available. Henze's music is classical, melodical-oriented and the three parts are treated equally as regards their part-writing. This homophonic music, interspersed with some imitatory passages, is of good value both as playing material and for concert use even for guitar ensembles on a lower level of skill. The suites are of intermediate difficulty.
