This vibrant showcase for solo drum set features an array of popular styles including Latin-funk, funk, Afro-Cuban, and fast samba. Naturally, there are numerous opportunities for the soloist to ad lib over an established groove and stretch out during some longer open solo sections. Despite the title, it should also be mentioned that this is not a multi-movement suite -- once the music begins, it plays continuously to the end.
