Description

Márta Kurtág once called this song cycle "chanson-like". And although Kurtág's music here is of course far from light music clichés, the refined simplicity, gentleness, and homely atmosphere of the series justifies this characterization and reveals the framework of Amy Károlyi's poetry in a congenial way.
