Tango Espressivo

Description

Violin 1, Violin 2, Violin 3, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, Piano — Tango Espressivo should be performed with a great deal of energy and passion. A solo section at m. 41 provides a soloist the opportunity to improvise using a G harmonic minor scale. A solo sample is provided. Staccato notes throughout should be quite short to give the piece its rhythmic drive. Matt Turner prides himself on providing teachers with differing and diverse pieces to teach varied styles to young string players. Here is an original tango style piece that goes so far as to contain opportunities to improvise! This piece will be both educational and fun to play.
