Description

Violin 1, Violin 2, Violin 3, Viola, Cello, Double Bass — This piece is inspired by my childhood memories of winter in Durango, Colorado. It unfolds in two distinct sections. The first captures the thrilling joy of running through the snowy streets and icy trails, bundled against the cold as the snow falls softly. Imagine the rush of moving quickly through the crisp air while snowflakes swirl and sparkle all around you.The second section turns reflective, evoking the nostalgia I feel when I look back on those moments. Winter is a poetic season; its quiet stillness, frosted landscapes, and cool brightness create an atmosphere that invites memory and sentiment. In this music, I sought to capture both the exhilaration of childhood winters and the gentle warmth of remembering them. This piece is inspired by childhood memories of winter. In the first section, subtle hints of playful Lydian mode convey the joy of running through snowy streets and icy trails, bundled against the cold in softly falling snow. This bright theme turns reflective, wrapped in warm nostalgia of quiet stillness, frosted landscapes, and the magical atmosphere of happy winter memories.
