Description
Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, Piano — Pepperoni Pizza-cato is an easy novelty piece for a young string ensemble. It isintended to be performed entirely pizzicato. Directors with very young students may opt to perform certain sections arco to avoid fatigue to tender right-hand fingers. Practicing portions of the music with the bow might allow students to develop their pizzicato endurance over a period of time. In any case, pizzicato and/or arco should be decided by the director.Thank you for choosing this composition. I hope performing it proves to be a rewarding experience for you, your students and your audience.—Joseph Compello Pepperoni Pizza-cato is a "sempre pizzicato" piece that is so incredibly cute, it will make your very beginning string players sound advanced. Students will love to play it, and parents will enjoy listening! There is the option to use arco in selected spots if those pizzicato fingers need a rest along the way. This piece is truly delightful!
