Smoky Mountain Hoedown

Description

Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Bass, Piano — This "Country" selection should be played brightly and with all the enthusiasm of a full blown "hoedown." The "clapping" section at m.32 may be repeated as desired. In this section, you can add percussion (wood block, tambourine) for added color and excitement. The percussion can also be used to fill in the "stomps" and "heys!" The bowing and articulations are suggested and should be used at the director's discretion.
