It’s a clear night, and as you look up, it’s as if you are under a blanket of tiny lights dotting the sky. The serenity and sense of wonder you feel is what I aimed to capture in Starlit Night.Translated into music, the serenity is created by slow, smooth, relaxed bows. Notice the various dynamic levels, which add subtle drama to the piece. And, most of all, lose yourself in the sonorous warmth of the harmonies. This tranquil piece captures the serenity and wonder of the starry night sky. The legato melody uses both sustained and smooth detache bow strokes as the calm motif develops dynamically and harmonically.
