Description

Using a tune from the 17th-century composer Jeremiah Savile, Peggy Carter has contributed text to this Waits tune, which was traditionally the last piece sung at meetings of the English Madrigal Society and other similar bodies. With lyrics that are appropriate for festive occasions at any time of year, this selection is performed in the characteristic madrigal style, with or without piano accompaniment. Duration: 1:05
