Three Solfege Songs and Rounds

Description

Soprano, Piano — Chosen with the teacher's time and ease of teaching in mind, this three-song collection offers a plethora of options from which to choose for teaching emerging singers.Each song is intentionally arranged to serve as a director’s aide for teaching solfege, rounds, singing a cappella, and/or singing with accompaniment. The songs also offer the original text so that the lyrics may be integrated into the learning experience at the teacher’s discretion. These pieces were chosen because of their length, varied intervals and ease of singing in canon. Whether teaching one, two or all three in one year, they should serve the needs of the teacher and should facilitate learning a piece quickly for performance.
