Description

Flugelhorn 1, Flugelhorn 2, Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba — French horn is featured throughout As with the original setting, the Romanze (Opus 36) features the horn in Leach's beautiful arrangement for brass quintet. Her version calls for a pair of flugelhorns, but trumpets can be substituted, either using bucket mutes or playing into the stand. This short, song-like ensemble piece could serve as a welcome respite during the program.
