Each year, millions of these delicatecreatures travel thousands of miles from North America to theforests of central Mexico—a journey driven by endurance,beauty, and instinct. Their epic flight reflects the cycles ofnature and the powerful pull toward home. This journeyresonates with me deeply, as I, too, return to my homeland ofJapan each year, guided by a similar desire for connection andrenewal. Journey South captures both the butterflies'extraordinary voyage and my personal reflections on theemotional landscapes of these journeys—longing, wonder, andjoy—that call us back to our roots.
