for Brass Quintet Daniel Grabois of the Meridian Arts Ensemble likened the balance in George Lewis' brass quintet Tightrope between "smooth like an ice cube or crunchy like a nut mix." A collaboration between seven institutions, schools, and ensembles, the Resonate Project explored the African Diaspora through commissions of contemporary American composers.
