Holiday Bows: Christmas and Chanukah Songs Featuring Various Bowing Techniques

Everyone expects a bow on their presents! In this G Major piece, challenge your young musicians to expand their bowing techniques beyond the simple detach� bow. All parts have the opportunity to use slurs, hooks, and staccato bowings, as well as reinforce the two main finger patterns used in G major throughout the range of their instruments. Four popular holiday melodies are dispersed throughout every part in the orchestra, and include "Deck the Halls," "Chanukah, Oh Chanukah," "Silent Night," and "Jingle Bells."
