Correlated to Jazz Expressions� , Say What? focuses on the funk style and improvising on the Mixolydian jazz scale at the medium-easy level. Composed by Jose Diaz and arranged by Victor L�pez, this chart is an opportunity for your band to play a contemporary groove and work on some jazz improvisation at the same time. There are only two chord progressions in this tune, so the improvisation skills needed are very accessible for young players. Optional parts are for flute, clarinet, horn, baritone horn, tuba, violin (2), viola, and cello. Jazz ensemble with string parts? You bet!
