Vignettes of Hattiesburg

Description

Vignettes of Hattiesburg, travels to an iconic Mississippi city. Dedicated to the Hattiesburg Music Teachers League, each movement is a snapshot of the city and its surroundings. "Mobile Street Rock!" opens the suite with a steady rock beat, capturing the sound of the entertainment district that once centered around Mobile Street. Hattiesburg is also the home of The University of Southern Mississippi. Its famous rose garden is featured in the lyrical second movement, "The Perfect Rose." The last movement acknowledges the fury of Mother Nature and the havoc she can bring to the Gulf coast in "Hurricane Warning."
